Please join us at the BH Police Department on Thursday, May 18 at 5 pm for a ribbon cutting recognizing those who donated to make the new Community Self-Defense Room & Gym possible. Fundraising organizers and donors helped create a room that can be used not only by the Berkeley Heights Police Department, but by the community as well, through BHPD-sponsored programs such as free self-defense classes offered throughout the year.
Please enter through the BHPD entrance, to the left of the main Town Hall entrance, located at 29 Park Avenue. Ribbon cutting will take place at 5 pm, following by tours of the facility by members of our Berkeley Heights Police Department. It's a great chance to also discuss with them the many Community Policing initiatives they have undertaken to strengthen ties within our community. Light refreshments will also be served in the Highlander Room, off the main lobby in Town Hall, after the ribbon cutting; refreshments sponsored by ShopRite.
