[ARCHIVED] BH Challenges Westfield to an Adopt-A-Drain Duel

Adopt a Drain

Only about 2 weeks left to adopt and clean your drains to BEAT WESTFIELD! Grab your rakes, Berkeley Heights! Mayor Angie Devanney, on behalf of the Berkeley Heights Environmental Commission (‘BHEC”), has officially thrown down the gauntlet, or heavy-duty glove as the case may be, issuing Berkeley Height’s challenge to Westfield for an Adopt-A-Drain duel.  This “Game of Drains Challenge” began on Earth Day, April 22, and runs through May 31.

Mayor Devanney and the BHEC intend this invitation for a friendly, spirited competition among the neighboring communities to prompt a fun way to keep community members engaged in a family-friendly activity during this holiday season that will help both municipalities reduce the amount of leaves and other debris that enter their storm drains, minimize obstructions in their stormwater infrastructure, and keep both Adopt-A-Drain programs thriving.

Click here for details on the competition and how you can participate!

The bottom line:

1. Go to the Adopt-A-Drain page
