[ARCHIVED] BH Environment Day This Sunday

EnvDay Feature

Join your Berkeley Heights neighbors for a day of environmental action on Sunday, November 6 for Environment Day! Various events are scheduled throughout the day, beginning at 9:30 am (schedule in graphic below). Activities include:

  • Clean up litter around our parks and along the walking trails in Berkeley Heights.
  • Help audit walking paths in support of our Safe Routes to School program; community members walk together and note what makes their route feel comfortable for walking, and what may be missing. This particular walk will focus on the route from Columbia Middle School to Snyder Park, a popular spot for after-school and weekend recreation
  • Join a Forestry Management Ph.D on the management of invasive species and the importance of a healthy forest (participants may join a cleanup after).
  • Meet the founders of Union County Connects and learn about their mission in developing Union County's trail, bike, and pedestrian infrastructure.

More information and a signup link are available here on the Environmental Commission's Events page. Please see our SignUp Genius here to sign up for your activities.

Please be prepared to sign a safety waiver for yourself and/or your child; waivers will be available to sign on-site the day of the event. Gloves and garbage bags will be provided.

This event is led by the Berkeley Heights Environmental Commission in collaboration with Union County.
