[ARCHIVED] Reminder: New Recycling Pickup Schedule Begins Monday, March 8

Updated Recycling Change March 2021

Starting Monday, March 8, recycling pickup days will be Mondays and Tuesdays. "Wednesday" (aks East Side) residents will move to Monday; "Thursday" (aka West Side) residents will move to Tuesdays. All residents should have received a mailer within the past week with the new schedule, makeup days fo holidays, and the street map with pickup days on the back. Please keep that handy.

In addition, Giordano Recycling Company reminds all customers that they should not place latex gloves or masks in their recycling. In addition, all recycling should be clean and dry. Resident recycling containers should have a lid to prevent them from getting wet; wet cardboard and other wet material gums up the machinery, adding to labor time an inefficiencies, which eventually are seen in increased recycling costs. Please see our RECYCLING page for more information on what is and is not acceptable for recycling.

Residents are also encouraged to download the Union County Recycle Coach app, which offers residents scheduling reminders and information as changed occur. It also provides reminders as to what day your home's pickup day is. The app is available in the Apple App store and Google Play; more information here.
