2020 Schedule for Residential Clean-Up
Please adhere to the following schedule and ask that your materials are NOT left at the curbside until the appropriate date.
Section 2- Monday, May 4 & Tuesday, May 5
Section 3- Thursday, May 7 & Friday, May 8
Section 4- Monday, May 11 & Tuesday, May 12
Section 5- Thursday, May 14 & Friday, May 15
Section 1 - Monday, May 18 & Tuesday, May 19

Program Overview
The 2020 Residential Clean-Up Program will be returning this year. All acceptable materials must be placed at the curb before 7 a.m. on the first clean up day scheduled for a section.
Covering Streets
The contractor will cover each street only once.
Therefore, it is very important that materials for pick up are at the curb for collection on the first day for each section. Small, loose items will be picked up only if suitably placed in a wood, metal, or other substantial container and the weight of the container and contents do not exceed 50 pounds.
Containers & Debris
All containers with debris in them will be picked up and disposed of by the scavenger unless clearly marked "Return Container."
Safety Precautions
By state law, doors on cabinets, appliances, and refrigerators must be removed as a safety precaution. Boards, swings, monkey bars and similar items must be dismantled and cut to maximum of 4 feet in length.
Equipment with or containers of the following should not be put out for collection:
- Acids
- Alkalis
- Gasoline
- Lacquer
- Solvents
- etc.
Unauthorized Scavenging or Scattering
Please report any unauthorized scavenging or scattering of debris to the Police Department at 908- 464-1111. Please report to the Police Department any unauthorized dropping off of material.

Acceptable materials are not limited to the below items:
- Books Cabinets
- Car Rims
- Car Tires (off rim)
- Clothing
- Couches
- Doors
- Fence (cut to 4 feet)
- Fence post (cut, only wood)
- Furniture
- Garden Tools
- Mattresses
- Paneling (cut to 4 feet or less)
- Refrigerators
- Rugs
- Screens
- Sinks
- Storm Doors
- Storm Windows
- Stoves
- Toilets
- Toys
- Wire Fence (rolled)
- Appliances
Materials Not Picked Up
- Ashes
- Auto Parts
- Branches/yard and garden debris
- Complete Window Unit
- Concrete Blocks
- Concrete/rock
- Garbage
- Grass
- Magazines
- Materials from Additions
- Materials from Alterations
- Materials from business/industry
- Newspapers
- Paint
- Propane Tanks
- Sheet Rock in large quantities Deck wood
- Solvents/lacquer/acid or their containers
