Zoning Officer
The Zoning Officer is responsible for the enforcement of the Township’s zoning and property maintenance laws and regulations and the issuance of tree removal permits.
Zoning Permit
A zoning permit is required as a condition precedent to the commencement of a use or the:
- Alteration
- Construction
- Conversion
- Erection
- Installation of a structure or building
- Reconstruction

Tree Removal
Want to Remove a Tree? You Need a Permit! Please use our online process listed below to apply and pay.
If for anyone wants to remove a deciduous tree over eight inches in diameter or an evergreen tree over six feet tall from a property or right of way, the Township ordinance requires they apply for a permit. The tree ordinance applies to all properties in the township regardless of where the tree is located: commercial property, private residences, and school properties.

Any person violating or causing to be violated any of the provisions this chapter shall be subject to a fine.
Permits must be issued by the Zoning Officer for tree removal on private property for trees 8 inches in caliper or greater. Residents may remove up to three trees in a calendar year at $10 per tree. Each tree thereafter costs $50 per tree.
