Communications Committee
The Berkeley Heights Communications Committee is responsible for supporting Berkeley Heights Township to inform the community about its local government, community-wide events run by the Township, and to the extent possible, public events run by non-profit local organizations. This committee supports the continued development of the Township website, and other methods of communicating with residents such as press releases, newsletters and social media. The Township publishes a monthly newsletter that contains updates about the local government, the committees, boards and commissions as well as planned local non-profit events. Please sign up if you aren’t receiving it!
"Happening in the Heights"
"Happening in the Heights" is a weekly videos that’s a team effort between the Communications Committee and our Township Business Administrator, Liza Viana. The two work together to create short, fun videos to help residents easily find out what they need to know about important Township updates and all the great community events going on in town each week.
New videos are posted on Thursday nights here, on the Township Facebook page as well as on the Township YouTube Channel. You can subscribe to the YouTube channel to make sure you don’t miss any episodes. The features are a few minutes long, and highlight fun community events that you won’t want to miss.

Spotlight on Berkeley Heights are filmed by the Communications Committee as a great way for residents to virtually attend some of the fantastic local events in town. They will include quick interviews along with tons of photos of event attendees. Watch now - maybe you’ll find yourself or your friends & neighbors. They are fun ways to catch up on all the great events in Berkeley Heights!

Apply to Become a Committee Member
Submit an application to become a volunteer on the Communications Committee.
The Township welcomes and encourages residents who have specific experience applicable to each Committee, Board and Commission to apply for available positions. Please note that there are only a few volunteer opportunities available each year as there are staggered terms for members of each Committee, Board and Commission. However, many committees are always in need of extra volunteers for various events throughout the year.
